BCC Learning Center was conceptualized during the visit made by the Board of Directors chaired by Mrs. Imelda F. Cruz and Pres. & CEO Roberto C. Mascariña of the Barangka Credit Cooperative, a primary multi-purpose cooperative in Marikina City, on April 2004 at the newly constructed BCC building in Pagrai, Antipolo City. They thought of putting up a pre-school due to non-existence of schools within the vicinity.
On June 2004, a part of the building was converted into classrooms for the pre-schools. The parents were encouraged to enroll in the newly opened pre-school. There were 16 kids who enrolled at the start of the school year 2004-2005. Two teachers were hired. Ms. Felisa B. Francisco took charge of the school.
The parent of the first Prep graduates clamored for the opening of Grade 1 class. After each school year, the next level is opened. The enrollment has increased, so additional classes were opened and additional teachers were hired.
The Learning Center was registered with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). In this year, the DepEd Permit #K-379 and E-354 was released under a new name Barangka Community School Inc. (BCSI).
The BOD’s under the chairmanship of Mr. Roger R. Manlangit from 2012 up to the present envision progress and success for BCSI in the years to come.
Hon. Roberto C. Mascariña, President & CEO, highlighted BCSI to be an efficient, effective and competitive academic institution in Pagrai Hills, Mayamot, Antipolo City.
